announces annual shareholders meeting results

Houston / Kemah, Texas – September 25, 2008 American International Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: AMIN) Chairman and CEO, Mr. Daniel Dror, today announced that the Company held its annual meeting on September 24, 2008 at 601 Cien Street, its corporate office in Kemah, Texas. The votes were as follows: 7,314,276 shares were voted, representing 85% of all shares issued and outstanding. Of those shares, 97% voted FOR the election of all Directors, 98% voted FOR the engagement of GBH CPAs, PC, as Independent Auditors for 2008 and 93% voted FOR the increase in authorized shares of common stock from 10,000,000 to 50,000,000 shares.

Further, the office in Kemah and all other properties owned by the company were not damaged by Hurricane Ike.

American International Industries, Inc. is a holding company. The Company has holdings in Industry, Finance, Real Estate in Houston Texas and surrounding areas, and Oil & Gas.
